In the pretty little village of Stenton, there is a small but very cute cottage for rent. It allows dogs (yay) and has a perfect location for long walks or to discover the history of Scotland. Georgian Farmhouse: great surroundings for dogs
A dog and a farmhouse, what is there not to love about that? Our next stop is the Georgian Farmhouse located in Dumfries and Galloway, Castle Douglas. It's a small town of approximately 4000 people and it's founded in 1792. Georgian Farmhouse is located in the countryside and offers you a lot of privacy and a beautiful rural area to discover.
Georgian Farmhouse can host up to 8 guests and is ideal for a large group of people and dogs. The farmhouse has a beautiful white exterior with creepers on the walls. A fairy tale holiday accommodation even before you have seen the rest of the home. The interior is a classical country style with working fireplaces and a lot of soft, comfortable couches to rest on. There is a large dining area in Georgian Farmhouse and also a game room to play snooker.
Outside, you'll find a large tennis court to play games or you can follow the many hiking/walking paths around the property. Georgian Farmhouse is a great home for dogs too. There are a lot of private grounds around the home where they can run and play catch. There is a small stream which is great fun for them. So, you get a lot of space both indoors and outdoors for a fair price. This home is great for groups of friends or families with children.

Our favorite dog-friendly cottage in Scotland: Loch Lomond Cottage
And now our favorite dog-friendly cottage in Scotland… ta-daaa: Loch Lomond Cottage. Loch Lomond Cottage is situated… well, literally next to Loch Lomond. Therefore, you will enjoy the most breathtaking views you have ever witnessed. It’s a very spacious and luxurious cottage that allows dogs and is suitable for up to 6 guests. There is nothing not to love about Loch Lomond Cottage.
When you get inside, you’ll notice the modern and minimalistic design of the cottage. It’s very elegant and the furniture is highly comfortable. The living room has a country-side design with the highlander cow and red deer paintings. The wooden accents make the room feel warm and a great place to relax. The beds (box springs) are very good and provide you with a lot of support.
But this all sounds great for humans. Why is it the best dog-friendly cottage in Scotland? To answer that, let's take a walk around the property. You have majestic scenery with many walking routes around Loch Lomond. The puppies love these walks and they'll get to see a lot of different wildlife too. But you don't need to go far to play with your dog. There is a large area of private ground around the property which is gated. Perfect to play with the dogs or kids. Booking this dog-friendly cottage might be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.
