So this hotel is a part of Aberdeen's stunning architecture. But inside, you'll find a beautifully modern and colourful decoration. It also has high-speed internet which makes it perfect for travelpreneurs (we love this).
As you’re located in the city centre, staying here means having an ideal location to explore the heart of Aberdeen. Besides, it’s one of the largest granite buildings in the world! The hotel opened its doors not long ago: in 2018. When you look at the picture below, you can agree that it once was a university, right?
Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel has a great upgrade nowadays: a Signature Spa and Wellness! Here, you can treat yourself within one of the individual treatment rooms, make use of an Infra-Red sauna and steam room, or use a manicure or pedicure. Do you like to be more active? With so many rooms and different options for everyone, the hotel must have plenty to eat, right? Yes. The food is much better than the usual hotel menus. Therefore, if you're in Aberdeen, visiting the restaurant of Sandman Signature Hotel is a perfect choice. Not only because of its central location, but also because of the great food with helpful, welcoming, and polite staff. The food is known to be excellent as the chefs truly try to make the best of it. Breakfasts are mostly self-service, but for dinner and lunch, be prepared for great service with outstanding food.

The hotel has 218 beautifully appointed and diverse rooms, including two-bedroom suites, studios, and executive bedrooms. So both a simple and more luxurious room is possible!
All rooms are known to be tidy, clean, and lovely decorated. And I agree with this. All rooms have king beds, which means that you’ll have a massive bed. Good to know is that many rooms are quiet. I believe that the higher your room is located, the quieter it is. If you’re a light sleeper like me, chances are you’ll get a good night of sleep here.
Also, the hotel rooms have grey walls, black radiators, and blackout blinds. So if you’re someone who prefers dark(er) bedrooms, you’ll get that here.
Signature king room
The signature king room is the most affordable room of Sandman Signature Hotel, but you’ll be treated like a king – as the name says.
You’ll get a comfortable ‘’super king bed’’ with a so-called luxury Glencraft Mattress (just like all beds by the way), and more than enough space to make you feel comfortable. The room has a flat-screen TV, and an electronic safe, and there are multiple USB ports. Besides, what makes this cheapest hotel room unique compared to other hotels is that it even has a small fridge, microwave, and kettle. You’ll love the walk-in rain shower too.

Accessible king room
Do you have immobility issues, or do you prefer a room where everything is more accessible for you? The accessible king room is about the same as the signature king room. The difference is that there’s a roll-in shower with a permanent bench seat. So you can tell the bathroom is very accessible. Just like the other rooms, there's a small fridge, microwave, and a kettle. Of course, there’s also free coffee, tea and biscuits.

Are you planning to stay with 2 people? Then the signature two double beds is your simplest – and cheapest option! This room feels spacious enough to have a comfortable stay with a partner.

Do you want even more space? Then skip the king rooms and have a look at the corporate rooms. These are excellent for those who are, like the name says, on a corporate stay. Or if you just like a more spacious room where you can both work and relax in peace, then this room is great too. You'll get your sofa bed in the space beside your bed as you can see in the picture. The room is, just like the others, lovely decorated and looks modern.
It comes with all the facilities of the other rooms: a small fridge, a microwave, a kettle, and free coffee, tea, and biscuits. It has a lovely walk-in rain shower too.

Corporate king suite with sofa bed
What if you can have a fully-equipped kitchenette as well? Meet the corporate king suite room! This room is described as a ''suite'' for a reason. It's bigger than the corporate king room, as it goes from 344sq ft to 390sq ft. Also, the ''living room'' area is more separated from the bed as you can see in the picture above. It goes like this: kitchen > living and working area > bedroom. This room also has a walk-in rain shower, a flat-screen TV, an electronic safe, and USB ports.
Good to know: there’s no oven in this kitchenette.

And here we go to a nice 502sq ft room. Why not go even more spacious? This room makes it feel more like an apartment as the sitting area is separate from the bedroom. The executive king suite with sofa bed comes with a fully equipped kitchen (no oven), 2 flatscreen TVs instead of one, an electronic safe, and USB ports. Besides, the bathroom is different here! You'll not only get a walk-in rain shower, but also a separate soaking tub. Ideal to relax your muscles during a long day and do absolutely nothing but enjoy warmth and peace.

Now we arrived at some of the biggest rooms of the hotel, as these are between 490 and 650sq ft. As if it is an apartment! The two-bedroom king suites are ideal for multiple people who'd like to have more privacy. On request, you can also get an in-suite washer-dryer. Of course, there is a fully equipped kitchen (without an oven), and a separate living-dining room. This room has both a walk-in rain shower and a freestanding soaking tub. Besides, there are 3 flatscreen TVs! This will avoid arguments about what's on the TV, as everyone can watch their favourite TV channels.

As travelpreneurs, we truly appreciate Sandman Signature Hotel Aberdeen and we can't praise this highly enough. It truly deserved a brilliant central spot in the historical Aberdeen as it comes in a beautiful architectural jacket. However, if you go inside you’ll see it’s completely renovated, modern, and beautifully decorated. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the restaurant is delicious, and the staff members are skilful. No matter what room you stay in, you'll get a very comfortable king bed, quality facilities such as a mini fridge or kitchenette, and wonderful modern decoration. Not to mention that the hotel has high-speed internet, and has been upgraded with a Signature Spa and Wellness.
