Before we go over to the rooms, I want to mention that we highly appreciated the amenities within this hotel. There's a spacious fitness centre, a restaurant and bar, a range of relaxing spas and beauty treatments (the facial treatment is incredible), a heated indoor pool, and there are several meeting and event spaces. This makes New Lanark Mill Hotel an excellent stay for weddings, parties, private dining, proms and graduations, group visits, conferences, and more. Because who doesn’t want to celebrate something special with a special historical place in Clyde Valley?
The Wedding & Events Centre has a place for up to 200 guests. Besides, their Business and Meeting facilities offer 8 suites and accommodate from 2 to 200 people. The staff at New Lanark Mill Hotel is very friendly and helpful – so they can make sure you’ll get great service and an unforgettable time.

If you’re interested in a historic, self-catering accommodation, you can choose to stay in one of the Waterhouse Cottages! These are a group of 8 restored 19th-century workers’ cottages that now function as holiday properties on the banks of the River Clyde.
The Waterhouse Cottages are known to be clean and well-maintained. Also, they have an excellent location in the heart of New Lanark World Heritage Site – positioned behind the New Lanark Mill Hotel. The historic charm and character of these cottages make it a special stay.
You can choose from 2 one-bedroom cottages and 6 two-bedroom cottages. Be aware that the minimum stay is 2 nights. Before you arrive you will find made-up beds and luxury bath towels and hand towels. The heating and electricity are within the rate, there is Wi-Fi, and dogs are allowed. Besides, you can make use of the indoor pool of the New Lanark Mill Hotel.
However, know that these cottages don’t have the amenities of a modern hotel. As it is a cottage, you could experience it as small – but in our opinion, it’s a very cosy experience and you’ll get everything you need. These are the features of the Waterhouse Cottages:

A stay in this highly unique, historic, and relaxing setting sounds great. But you won’t have an enjoyable stay when the hotel rooms aren’t good, right? What’s special about the rooms at New Lanark Mill Hotel is that they will all have a spectacular view. This can either be a view of the River Clyde, or a view over the remarkable and beautiful village. No matter in which room you stay, you can make use of their extensive facilities (including the heated pool, spa facilities, etc.).
Even the smallest rooms are known to be spacious and comfortable. Moreover, all rooms are warm, lovely decorated, and spotlessly clean. The beds are large and comfortable and you'll sleep in quiet rooms. This was very important to me as I am a light sleeper. So if you're also like this, you'll enjoy your night here.
Standard rooms
If you want the most affordable option, then you should go for the standard rooms. These rooms are available in single, double, twin, and triple configurations. All have a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. And don't forget a great view over the beautiful village or the River Clyde.

How good is the restaurant of New Lanark Mill Hotel? When you eat in this restaurant, you will get nice meals with attentive and prompt table service. Also, the restaurant offers a good range of tasty food and it's reasonably priced at the same time. The chefs make use of quality ingredients from local suppliers, with a focus to make many simple dishes delicious. At this time of writing, the so-called Mill One Restaurant is open for dinner from 5:30 pm with the last orders at 8:45 pm.

In our opinion, you will get good value for money when you stay at New Lanark Mill Hotel. Not only will you get quality rooms and bathrooms, but you can also make use of their range of amenities. The fantastic treatments in the spa are also offered at really good rates. The staff is friendly, the restaurant has delicious food, and the whole setting is quiet, clean, and relaxing. Besides booking a hotel room, you also have the option to stay in one of the self-catering historical and cosy cottages named the Waterhouse Cottages, which are located on the banks of the River Clyde.
In short: if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway on the wonderful west coast of Scotland, then I can’t recommend New Lanark Mill Hotel enough.
