In 2018, Edinbane Lodge renovated their rooms. The goal was to give guests maximum comfort without sacrificing any of the historic values and feeling of Edinbane Lodge. And with success! The lodge offers super-fast WiFi, 50" Smart TVs with Netflix, and modern bathrooms with showers and baths. The main differences are the bed sizes and room space. Let's start with the first room.
Room One – Super King
Room One is a great room for a couple with a Super-King Bed and 350 sq ft of space. It's a beautifully decorated room with a lot of detail. You can find local art and accents throughout the room. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped with complimentary Highland soaps and toiletries. Everything in this room makes sense and there has been a lot of thought about the design. Personally, I love this room and it's a great base of operations to explore Skye.

Room Two – King
Room Two is a more modest version of Room One. It’s smaller with 235 sq ft compared to 350 and the decorations are minimalistic. However, this slimmed version is more affordable. Additionally, you get a 42 “UHD Smart TV with Netflix to enjoy the evening. The King Bed is comfortable and feels great after a long day of walking.

Room Three – Super King
Room Three is just like Room One a Super King room, except for its size of 425 sq ft vs 350 sq ft of Room One. Of course, this means you get a Super-King Bed with a lot of room space to sit back and relax after spending the day on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Room Three has an excellent long and modern bath. The room is decorated with handcrafted ceramics from local Pottery. It feels just right and at home when you are in Room Three. This room also has a 50" UHD Smart TV with Netflix.

Room Four – King Junior Suite
Lastly, Room Four – King Junior Suite. This room is 240 sq ft and it’s situated in the oldest wing of the house. It still has a lot of original charm even though it has been renovated in 2021. Because of the smaller size, it’s more affordable than Room One and Room Three. You still have pretty much the same amenities, but only slighter smaller (the bath for instance). So, if you are not extremely tall and you want to save a few bucks, then this might be the room for you.

In 1543, Edinbane Lodge opened its doors. Today, the lodge still holds on to the things that made the lodge thrive. Including the wonderful Edinbane Lodge restaurant. The restaurant is known for its excellent local ingredients. Award-winning chef, Calum Montgomery has built an extensive network over the years. The sourcing of Skye's best ingredients is one of the keys to the magnificent dishes that Edinbane Lodge restaurant serves.

However, they didn't sacrifice any of the historical charms. Edinbane Lodge has been around since 1543 and it has built forth on that heritage. The beds are very comfortable and with all the extra amenities, like the 50 " UHD Smart TV, you feel right at home. It's great for long stays but also if you are looking for something to eat. They have a very good chef who sources all his ingredients locally via friends and family. I'm a huge fan of Edinbane Lodge and will come back. I rate this lodge a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
